Professional associations, such as Synamap (the French national association of prevention and protection market players), play a key role in structuring the PPE market. They enable constant dialogue between manufacturers, users and regulatory bodies, with the aim of guaranteeing high-performance products and standards adapted to the realities on the ground.
As a manufacturer of personal and collective protection solutions for professionals, Delta Plus naturally chose to become a member of Synamap. The product departments of Delta Plus (gloves, fall protection, clothing, footwear, respiratory protection) are thus represented on the various Product Committees of Synamap.
Delta Plus' involvement in these bodies allows the group to maintain a constant exchange with colleagues and thus to nurture its vision of the practices, developments and needs of the sector.
‘It is also a way of strengthening the image of Delta Plus as a major player and expert in the PPE market by sharing our experience,’ explains Nicole Gilliard, Product Compliance Manager and representative of Delta Plus at Synamap.
Nicole Gilliard has also been chairing the Gloves Commission of Synamap for the past three years, which, according to her, has two major advantages: ‘
"Firstly, it allows me to be close to the union's leaders and thus have a certain influence/vision on the actions to be taken with the regulatory authorities. This is the case at both national and European level, since Synamap is a member of the board of directors of the ESF (European Safety Federation) which represents manufacturers before the European Union authorities."
Moreover, this offers the possibility of being at the initiative of working groups in which French government services participate: for example, it may be a question of discussing EU regulations on dual-use goods or on producer responsibility in the management of waste EP. ’
All these initiatives enable Delta Plus to contribute its perspective and influence regulatory and normative developments, but also to better anticipate them in order to guarantee ever more efficient and innovative products that meet the expectations of both users and regulators.
Delta Plus's commitment to Synamap thus illustrates the group's desire to actively contribute to the evolution of the PPE sector.
