Our Delta Plus expert

Ivan ZEMKO MU Manager Slovakia - Czech Republic

Delta Plus, concerned about the well-being of workers, adapts its offer to the automotive industry sector.

1-What are the main requirements or specifications for PPE in the automotive sector compared with other industries?
In comparison with other industries, the main requirements would be Silicon-free products and an increased need for ESD products. Additionally, there should be no metal parts exposed on clothing to eliminate possible scratching.

2- What are the main challenges faced by your customers when choosing PPE for their teams?
Typically, it is very difficult to introduce new products to them . Once they choose a product, they tend to stick with it for a long time. Product availability is also an important issue as the auto industry operates on JUST IN TIME logistics.

3- How do you help your customers to ensure that their employees use PPE correctly and regularly?
In the auto industry, proper risk analyses, selection of PPE, and internal procedures for their use are well-developed. We communicate with customers about new product developments, legislation changes, and assist with risk analyses when needed. Additionally, vending machines are an important tool as well.

4- How do you work with automotive companies to understand their specific needs?
We listen to their needs, assist with risk analyses, help select proper PPE, test products, collect feedback, and communicate with our Global Product Line teams.

5- Is there any PPE that particularly stands out in terms of safety or comfort for this sector?
Metal-free, Silicon-free, ESD products, and anti-cut gloves are essential for safety as VENICUTB01, VENICUTB02.

6- What equipment do you think automotive companies ask for most, and why?
Automotive companies use all 5 categories of PPE, with a focus on gloves for general use, anti-cut gloves and sleeves for high comfort, dexterity, and good price performance ratio. Our products VENICUTCM1, VV835 CUT, SPEED , MOONLIGHT are often requested.

7- What recent innovations have you incorporated into your range of PPE for the automotive industry?
We have recently introduced many ESD shoes into our portfolio, as ROSSI S3S SR or ALPINO S3S SR, which are highly demanded by the auto industry.

8- What trends do you see for PPE in the automotive industry? For example, smarter, lighter, or more environmentally-friendly materials?
Light materials, high comfort, ergonomic design, touch screen functions, and environmentally-friendly products are becoming more popular in the automotive industry.

9- What is being done to reduce environmental impact?
In recent years, the environment has become an important subject within the industry. Companies are investing in alternative energy sources like photovoltaics, waste management control, reducing packaging, and collecting and recycling used products.

10- Are your customers in the automotive industry particularly interested in reducing the environmental footprint of their PPE? If so, how are you helping them?
These processes, while costly, are necessary for a global environmental approach by society together with individual companies . Our goal is to provide high-quality, long-lasting, comfortable PPE, along with communication, education, and the introduction of new recycled green products.
